Winter is settling in around here, which means it’s time to get cozy and browse your favorite garden catalog. It also means that new plants are being introduced for the 2023 growing season. We’ll keep this post updated with the newest tomato varieties as they’re announced:

  • Vivacious Hybrid (Burpee) – Traditionally bred, these 2.5-3″ orange oval tomatoes promise up to 70 fruits per plant, 40% of your daily vitamin A, and a balanced flavor.
  • Bliss Hybrid (Burpee) – Heavy yields of 1oz. yellow fruits with green accents that are perfect for snacking
  • Two Tasty Hybrid (Burpee) – Voted best tasting by Burpee’s interns and beating the vaunted Sun Gold, this purple-black tomato gets its name from its two-bite size
  • NEW: Mochi Cherry (Johnny’s) – Large, red cherry with a unique, gumdrop-like texture
  • NEW: RuBee Dawn (Johnny’s) – An early tomato bred for the greenhouse with a “sweet, tangy flavor and impressive size.”
